SECI Opens Bids For 1 GW Solar Power Projects Across India :

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) recently released a tender to select solar power developers for 1 GW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar PV power projects in India. The tender placed 4th October as the last date for bid submission.

JSW Energy commissions 300 MW wind power capacity at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu :

JSW Energy Ltd on Sunday announced that its step-down subsidiary, JSW Renew Energy Two Limited, has successfully completed commissioning for the 300 MW ISTS-connected wind power project awarded by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) tranche X located at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.

Tata Power installs rooftop solar systems at 600 locations in Chhattisgarh :

Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd (TPSSL) has installed rooftop solar systems at more than 600 locations in Chhattisgarh under an initiative, a company official said on Sunday.

The company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), launched its rooftop solar system installation initiative after its success in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala, the official said.

Karnataka Regulator Clarifies Rooftop Solar Net Metering Arrangements :

The clarification follows complaints that BESCOM was violating the Commission's order The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has clarified that if a rooftop solar consumer switches from a net metering arrangement to a gross metering arrangement and carries out wiring modifications, the distribution companies (DISCOMs) must execute a Supplemental Power Purchase Agreement to formalize the change.

SECI Floats Tender For 30 MW Project Under RESCO Mode :

In an effort to provide solar power to the Union Territory (UT) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands (EDA&N), the Electricity Department and SECI have issued a tender. SECI requested bids from solar power developers to establish 30 MW grid-connected rooftop solar PV projects in the Union Territory. This project will be executed under the RESCO model. The tender has set October 21st as the deadline for bid submission.

The tender set the bid submission end date (Soft Copy) as 10-12-2024 and the bidsubmission end date (Hard Copy) is 12-12-2024
