The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) today announced final modifications concerning the statutory review of the tariff actions in the Section 301 investigation of the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) Acts, Policies, and Practices Related to Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property and Innovation.


 

Encavis secures approx €61 million financing for 114 MW solar park in Germany :


Encavis has finalised a non-recourse project financing deal worth €60.7 million for its solar plant in Lindenhof, Borrentin. The project is located near Demmin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is set to complete construction by the end of September 2024. Once operational, it will generate 121 GWh of electricity annually.

China urges US to reverse new tariffs on solar, batteries, EVs :


China’s Ministry of Commerce has described the Office of the US Trade Representative’s recent decision to raise tariffs on Chinese solar components, batteries, semiconductors, steel, and EVs as “typical unilateralism and protectionism.” It added that the tariff increases will harm US companies and consumers.


 

Eurowind Energy acquires 11 solar projects in Portugal :


The company said the projects are currently at an advanced development stage, with most aggregated in clusters of three, totaling 15 MW. Portuguese solar company Insun is developing the projects.


 

Lebanon Invites Bids For Solar Power Plant Expansion At Beirut River Court :


The Republic of Lebanon’s Ministry of Energy and Water has issued a public tender for the expansion of the solar power plant at the Beirut River Court. This project, registered under number 2024/1708, seeks to increase the plant’s capacity by 40 MW. The tender is open to bids based on the lowest price and will be awarded in US dollars.
