Indian solar panels face US scrutiny for possible links to China forced labour :


U.S. Customs and Border Protection has detained nearly $43 million in shipments of electronics equipment from India since October under a 2022 law banning goods made with forced labor, according to agency data, representing a new focus for the trade enforcement agency.

 


 

Solar Landscape to plan community solar projects for NSA self-storage properties :


National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSA), a real estate group invested in self-storage properties, plans to partner with Solar Landscape to pursue installation of solar projects on NSA properties nationwide. The groups plan to develop at least 100 MW of solar capacity.

 


 

Encore Renewable Energy breaks ground on its first New York solar project :


Encore Renewable Energy announced today that construction is underway on a 3.6-MW solar array located in Constable, New York. Constable Solar is Encore’s first solar project in New York State and part of nearly 90 MW of solar and energy storage currently under development by Encore in the Empire State. Under New York’s NY-Sun Initiative and VDER program, NYSEG will compensate Encore for the electricity produced from the new array and deliver affordable, reliable and carbon-free energy to their customers.

 


 

Clearway begins construction on latest solar + storage project in California :


Clearway Energy Group has started construction on its Rosamond South I solar and storage project in Kern County, California. The 140-MW solar and 118-MW storage Rosamond South 1, which is referred to as Golden Fields Solar IV LLC by its offtakers, is under long-term contracts with several California load-serving entities, including 15-year agreements with MCE, The University of California, Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Utility, Eastside Power Authority and City of Moreno Valley.

 


 

BlueWave announces nearly-20-MW agrivoltaic portfolio across Massachusetts :


BlueWave announced five new projects across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that incorporate the company’s dual-use solar design and operate under the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) Program. The projects, which BlueWave owns and operates, are located in Palmer, Haverhill, Dighton and Douglas, and are adding 19.8 MWDC of generation and 29.7 MWh of storage to the power grid.
