Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission Seeks Feedback On Draft Renewable Energy Procurement Regulations 2024 :


The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission has introduced new draft regulations aimed at boosting the use of renewable energy within the state. These proposed regulations, named the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procurement of Energy from Renewable Sources and its Compliance) Regulations, 2024, are designed to promote the use of renewable energy by various entities and ensure compliance with set targets.

 


 

MERC Allows Solar Developer’s BCD Compensation Claims :


The Commission ruled that any event can be considered a ‘Change in Law Event’ if such provisions are specifically made under the PPA

The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has ordered the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) to compensate a developer for the increased cost of the project due to the basic customs duty (BCD) on solar cells and modules.

 


 

JSW Energy receives LoA for 200 MW wind-solar hybrid power project from MSEDCL :


JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSW Neo), a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited on Tuesday announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for setting up 200 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) against Tariff based Competitive Bid (MSEDCL – Phase III).

 


 

Western Railway Invites Bids for 1.1 MW Rooftop Solar Systems :


The late date to submit the bids is September 19, 2024 The  Western Railway has floated a tender to install 1.1 MW rooftop sol The late date to submit bids is September 19, 2024.

The project must be completed within six months.The scope of the tender covers the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected rooftop solar systems. It also involves repairs, replacements, and comprehensive maintenance of the power supply system for five years.

 


 

UP push to renewable energy: 3 solar parks commissioned, six more to follow soon :


The state has received significant investments specifically for the establishment of solar parks in the solar energy sector. Under this initiative, nine solar parks are being developed. Of these, solar parks with capacities of 365 MW and 65 MW, totalling 430 MW, have already been commissioned, and production has begun.

 


 

Bondada to build 170.40 MW of solar in India :


Bondada Engineering said this week that it has secured a letter of award to set up 170.40 MW (DC) of grid-connected distributed solar plants in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The projects are to developed under Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 of the state government of Maharashtra
