CIL Invites Bids for 300 MW Solar Project in Gujarat :


The last date to submit the bids is September 23.The scope of work covers the design, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. It also includes the supply, packing and forwarding, the transportation of PV modules up to Khavda Solar Park, including the transit insurance of crystalline solar modules with nominal wattage and dimensions as mentioned in the scope of supply for the 1500V system voltage.

 

 

Adani Energy Bags Transmission Project to Evacuate 7 GW of Renewable Energy :


AESL will be commissioned in 24 months on a BOOT basis.The REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has handed over the Khavda Phase-IV Part-A transmission to Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) to evacuate 7 GW of renewable energy (RE) from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park.


 

UPNEDA Issues Bids To Solarise 10,000 Solar Pumps :


Intending to solarize 10,000 grid-connected agriculture pumps under KUSUM Component C-1, the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) recently released a tender. The tender aims to supply, install, test, and commission distributed grid-connected solar PV systems with 5 years of comprehensive maintenance. UPNEDA has set 23rd September as the last date for bid submission.


 

JinkoSolar’s Revenue Drops 21.6% YoY in Q2 2024 on Lower Module Prices :


Operating expenses rose due to a write-off of the book value of equipment damaged in a fire China-headquartered solar cell and module manufacturer  JinkoSolar‘s revenue dropped 21.6% year-over-year (YoY) to RMB24.05 billion (~$3.31 billion) in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024 due to a decrease in the average selling price of solar modules.


 

Solar power company bags 600 MW wind-solar hybrid power project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) :


JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSW Neo), a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for an additional 400 MW of Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project under a greenshoe option from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) against MSEDCL – Phase III.

These two components alone account for more than half the value of a solar panel.


 

Solar Generation In India Improved In FY24: Fitch Ratings :


 “Spotlight: Indian Renewable Energy Performance FY24,” the company rated the performance of the 10 rated Indian restricted groups (RGs). Fitch’s portfolio of wind and solar project-finance  transactions improved in the financial year ended March 2024, but overall power generation remained below Fitch’s one-year P90 forecasts. Meanwhile, cash collection continued its upward trend since FY23, supported by reforms implemented by India’s central government.


 

Reliance to commercialize perovskite, back-contact HJT-IBC solar by 2026 :


Reliance Industries will begin producing PV modules by the end of this year, according to Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh D. Ambani. The company is developing the first phase of its integrated solar production facilities, which will include modules, cells, glass, wafers, ingots, and polysilicon, with an initial annual capacity of 10 GW.
