Avaada Energy bags 1,050 MWp solar project :


Avaada Energy has won a 1,050 MWp solar project through an NTPC-conducted auction, marking the largest single bid secured in the tender. The project, awarded at a tariff of INR 2.69 per kWh, is to be completed within 24 months of signing a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). This achievement brings Avaada's portfolio to 15 GW in India.

 

 

Emmvee secures 600 MWp solar module supply contract with Hero Future Energies:

Emmvee Photovoltaic Power has announced the signing of an agreement with Hero Future Energies to supply up to 600 MWp of high-efficiency solar modules over a two-year period.


 

NTPC Tranche III Solar Auction :


Apraava Energy, Avaada Energy , ReNew Solar Power and JSW Neo Energy have won NTPC’s auction to set up 1,500 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects (Tranche III) across India.

 

 

Tata Power planning to raise $1 bn loan for clean energy projects


Indian power generation firm Tata Power Co. is planning to raise as much as $1 billion-equivalent for clean energy projects, in what could be the country’s largest local currency loan this year.

India’s largest local currency loan so for this year was Assam Bio Refinery Pvt.’s deal of $365 million in February. If Tata Power’s planned borrowing finalizes with a size anywhere near $1 billion, it would take that title.

  

 

India expected to install 21.2 GW of solar in FY 2025 :


JMK Research expects India to install about 21.2 GW of new solar capacity in FY 2025 ending March 31, 2025. Around 16.5 GW of this will come from utility-scale pv installations, 4 GW from rooftop solar, and another 700 MW from off-grid systems.

 

 

Gujarat declares winners of 479 MW solar projects under PM-KUSUM:


The Gujarat Government has allocated 479 MW of solar projects to multiple developers as part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Uthan Mahabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM). These projects, tendered for feeder-level solarisation under Component C of the PM-KUSUM scheme, are anticipated to be operational by the end of 2024.
