Jakson Engineers plans Rs 2,000 cr investment to expand solar manufacturing biz :


Jakson Group arm Jakson Engineers on Wednesday said it is planning to invest about Rs 2,000 crore for expansion of its solar manufacturing business. Jakson Engineers Ltd (JEL) -- part of the leading energy and infrastructure conglomerate Jakson Group -- announced a significant expansion of its solar manufacturing business, a company statement said.


 

Alpex Solar announces plan to double PV module capacity to 2.4 GW by FY26 :


A greenfield project of 1.2 GW solar PV modules capacity will be installed in the company's newly acquired land parcel at Kosi Kotwan, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, a statement said. The company will also explore a foray into solar cell manufacturing in the range of gigawatt capacity.


 

Centre set to expand ALMM to solar cells, decision expected soon :


This initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and curb the dominance of Chinese imports in the sector. Currently, the ALMM only applies to solar modules, limiting participation in government-supported projects to companies that manufacture modules in India.


 

Sterlite Bags Khavda Project to Evacuate 7 GW Renewable Energy :


REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) handed over Khavda IV C Power Transmission to Sterlite Grid 38  to evacuate 7 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat. Sterlite Grid must commission the project in 24 months Sterlite Grid 38 won the project in the tariff-based competitive bidding process. It will commission the project in the next 24 months on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis and maintain it for 35 years.


 

Oriana Power Wins EPC Contract for 52 MW Solar Project in Uttar Pradesh :


The project includes CTU approval, transmission lines, and O&M for five years The scope of work involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. Oriana will also have to secure approval from the Central Transmission Utility of India, transmission lines, and operations and maintenance for five years, Oriana said in a filing on the National Stock Exchange.


 

Uttarakhand Issues Empanelment Tender for 22.96 MW Solar Projects :


The last date to submit the bids is September 9, 2024 Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) has issued a tender to empanel engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, net metering, and commissioning of a cumulative capacity of 22,965 kW grid-connected rooftop solar systems and small solar projects.


 

G R Infra Acquires 1.5 GW Tumkur Renewable Energy Transmission Project :


REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has handed over Tumkur-II REZ Power Transmission to G R Infraprojects (GRIL) to evacuate 1.5 GW of power from the Tumkur Renewable Energy Zone in Karnataka.


 

TotalEnergies and Adani Green Energy Form Joint Venture for 1,150 MWac Solar Portfolio in Gujarat :
