Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) on Tuesday said it has collaborated with the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority to develop a 450-500 MW solar park worth Rs 1,800 crore along the Bundelkhand Expressway. This ambitious project, the first of its kind in India, will establish a green energy corridor across the 296-km expressway, transforming the region into a model for scalable solar-powered infrastructure, a statement said.

Solar Corporate Funding Fell 23% in 9M 2024 :
India adds 3.6 GW of solar open-access capacity in 1H 2024. Total corporate funding, including venture capital, public market activity, and debt financing for the solar sector, reached $22.3 billion in the first nine months (9M) of 2024, a 23%.decrease from the $28.9 billion raised during the same period in 2023.

Waaree Energies IPO sees 3.3x subscription on day 1, demand from non-institutional investors high :
Waaree Energies Ltd, India’s largest solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer, launched its Rs 4,321 crore initial public offering (IPO) Monday, which was subscribed 3.3 times on the first day itself. The Mumbai-based company says proceeds from the IPO, which has so far drawn bids for 6.9 crore equity shares against 2.1 crore on offer, will support the company’s plans to reduce reliance on Chinese imports and enhance price competitiveness.
Tata Power bags tender to evacuate power for green hydrogen projects :
REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has delivered ERES-XXXIX Power Transmission to Tata Power to develop transmission works to evacuate power for green hydrogen projects in Odisha. The project will provide transmission services for 35 years, and has a scheduled commercial operation date of December 31, 2027.

Hindustan Zinc to procure 530 MW renewable energy from Serentica :
Hindustan Zinc will procure 530 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) power from Serentica Renewables’ projects under a group captive arrangement. Hindustan Zinc will invest Rs 3.27 billion in Serentica and its affiliates, to acquire a 26 per cent stake. Serentica will develop captive projects across India to provide renewable energy to Hindustan Zinc over the next 25 years, with project commissioning occurring in phases from 2027.

GUVNL issues draft tender for 200 MW BESS in Gujarat :
The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has issued a tender to establish 200 MW/1600 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Gujarat. The winner will be selected through tariff-based competitive bidding (Phase-V). The BESS will have a 200 MW / 1600 MWh (200 MW x 8) hours capacity.
JSW Energy signs PPAs with MSEDCL for 1,200 MW solar-wind hybrid projects :
JSW Renew Energy Six Limited and JSW Renew Energy Thirty Limited, stepdown subsidiaries of JSW Energy Limited, have signed two power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for state transmission utility (STU)-connected 1,200 MW solar-wind hybrid project.
