Trom Industries, a Gujarat-based solar EPC firm, has secured solar projects worth approximately INR 33 crore from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation and Corona Remedies for rooftop and ground-mounted installations to be completed this financial year.
CIE Automotive India Invests INR 36.03 Mn to Procure Solar Power from ReNew’s 7.8 MW Captive Plant :
CIE Automotive India has invested INR 36.03 million for a 31.2 percent stake in ReNew Green's SPV to establish a 7.8 MW captive solar plant, reducing energy costs for its Maharashtra factories.
MEIL and BESCOM ink 618 MW solar power agreement under PM KUSUM :
MEIL Solar Energy, a subsidiary of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), has signed power purchase agreements with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) for the supply of solar power from 76 solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 618.1 MW. These projects will be developed under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme, utilising the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model.

Juniper Green Energy, Jakson Green, and RIH Renewables (EDF Renewables) have been awarded Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s (GUVNL) auction for developing 200 MW of grid-connected wind power projects in India under Phase VIII. Originally floated in July 2024 for 500 MW, GUVNL later reduced the auction capacity to 200 MW.
NTPC REL floats EPC tender for 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan :
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued an invitation for bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 300 MW ground-mounted solar power project connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS) near NTPC Anta, Rajasthan. The deadline for submitting bids is December 12, 2024. The project will be funded by NTPC REL through its own funds or borrowings.

Om Infra secures hydro-mechanical works order worth Rs 4.1 billion for 540 MW Kwar hydroelectric power project :
Om Infra Limited has secured a hydro-mechanical (HM) works order for the 540 MW Kwar hydroelectric power project. The project is worth Rs 4.1 billion and is expected to take 36 months to complete.
This is an engineering, procurement and construction contract which includes the design, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shop assembly, testing, painting, transportation, site storage, site erection, and commissioning of all HM equipment. This includes components such as radial gates, vertical gates, stoplogs, gantry cranes, trash racks, trash rack cleaning machines, and steel liners for the pressure shafts of the 540 MW Kwar hydroelectric project.
ACWA Power grows renewable portfolio in Africa :
ACWA Power announced that its Redstone Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plant in South Africa has achieved 50 MW and is poised to reach its full 100 MW capacity shortly. The successful synchronisation of Redstone CSP to South Africa’s national grid was achieved in collaboration with Herlogas and SEPCOIII. This project is expected to provide clean energy to nearly 200,000 households, significantly reducing carbon emissions.
