NTPC Invites Bids for Sale of Carbon Credits from Wind and Solar Projects :
NTPC Green Energy has floated a tender for the sale of 100,000 carbon credits of Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)-registered wind and solar projects of 610 MW capacity.
The last date to submit bids is September 12, 2024, and bids will be opened on September 13.
Bidders must offer the lump sum price for the 100,000 carbon credits exclusive of the issuance fee to be paid to VERRA/VCS Board and other applicable charges and taxes. In return, NTPC will sign an Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement (ERPA) with the successful bidder.
Genus Power Infrastructures Wins 3.75 Million Smart Meter Contracts :
The three contracts are valued at a total of ₹29.26 billion Rajasthan-based smart metering solutions company Genus Power Infrastructureshas announced that its subsidiary has been awarded smart meter contracts worth ₹29.26 billion (~$348.6 million).
These contracts involve designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning an Advanced Metering Infrastructure system
NVVN Floats 25.65 MW Rooftop Solar Tender in Delhi :
NVVN has also issued bids for 7.1 MW rooftop solar projects in Bihar and Jharkhand NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has floated a tender for a 25.65 MW grid-connectedrooftop solar power project for government buildings in Delhi and adjoining states, including buildings under Delhi Police. The last date to submit bids is September 9, 2024. Bids will be opened on September 10. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹20 million (~$238,244) and a tender fee of ₹22,500 (~$268). The tender has been called for four categories: Capacity above 1,000 kW, capacity between 201 kW-1,000 kW, capacity between 51 kW – 200 kW, and capacity up to 50 kW..
